The genesis of Soap From A Goat traces back to a serene beginning, rooted in personal necessity and a deep love for natural care. It all started in 2006 in Cindy’s Canton, North Carolina home. What began as a crafting hobby, driven by a desire to understand and control the substances absorbed by her skin, soon blossomed into something much larger. Cindy's initial motivation was to evade the harsh chemicals that pervaded commercial body care products—chemicals that often led to irritation or overwhelming scents that could cause headaches.

The turning point came with the arrival of her first goat, whose milk offered so many skin-loving benefits. This was the key ingredient that transformed her crafting into a passion. As the soothing and nourishing qualities of goat milk began to reflect in her creations, word spread. The local community, captivated by the unique and gentle scents, encouraged Cindy to expand her vision. Responding to this call, she opened her first shop in Maggie Valley, turning her passion into a thriving legacy for generations to come.

Through the years, Soap From A Goat has migrated locations within Maggie Valley but remains a beacon in the community, synonymous with rejuvenating and enduring fragrances that promise more than just superficial cleanliness. Each product is a testament to our commitment for clean, healthy and hydrated skin. We persist in our commitment to avoid harsh chemicals, using only natural ingredients, minerals, and oils in our soaps. MRS. CINDY
The Founder, The Maker, The Mastermind!
Mrs. Cindy has always been fascinated with the soaping world. She opened her shop in order to share her passion with the local community and offer higher quality products with far fewer chemicals as opposed to those that you may find in your local big-box store. Cindy has mastered the process of soaping from the ground up in order to pass on her knowledge and legacy to the next generation. From milking the goats to mixing the batches, developing her own formulas, packaging, and shipping- she is the master and head soaper here!

If you stop by our local shop here in Maggie Valley, North Carolina you will find Cindy at the register or preparing orders for shipment. Helping customers and making a difference in their lives one bar at a time is what drives Cindy day after day!
LETHIE
Liquid Soap and Bar Soap Assistant
A beautiful personality and wonderful apprentice! Mrs. Lethie loves to help out in the kitchen and is an amazing soaper! She can be found crafting the soap bars or liquid soaps available. She helps to fill any gaps within the day-to-day functioning of the shop. She is also the mother of one of our smallest soon-to-be soapers, Emmerson!

The mission of Soap From A Goat is simple. We strive to keep our customers happy and healthy amidst the chaos of modern life. To do so, we design scent profiles that promote groundedness and well-being.

Amanda is another beautiful personality that the shop has to offer! She loves to help with product development and packaging. She is extremely creative and receptive to the needs of customers. Most importantly, she is the mother of our other soon-to-be little soaper, Myles!
